JNS Pyrotechniek was established in Leeuwarden, a city in the north of Holland. Since 1821 our company has been well-known for the production of fireworks and firework displays in this country. All these activities resulted from a hobby of the company’s founder – A.A. Schuurmans. For three generations the Schuurmans family ran the company for better and for worse. At first fireworks were produced for weddings, national festivities and celebrations in connection with the Dutch Royal Family. Since 1970 there have been many changes. The phenomenon of "pyromusicals" was introduced in the fireworks-industry and the production of professional and consumer fireworks was transferred to China.

During this latest pyrotechnic show by JNS, Vulcan and Shogun brand fireworks will be incorporated to create the " Invasion of the Colours " All brands of fireworks consist of a unique range of colours and effects.

The Vulcan range of fireworks has been established in 1992 and the name is synonymous with premium quality fireworks and pyrotechnics. The Vulcan range is famous for its European style shells with long burning time, vibrant stars and impressive range of special effects. The show will use Vulcan cylindrical shells such as tourbillons and silver whirls and large candles.

The show will also display the Shogun range of display shells. Shogun shells are made by Mr. Wang Ming Zhang, who is a renowned master technician in China and was trained by Japanese pyrotechnicians. His innovative and impressive range of shells will be shown such as gold glitter croisettes, stained glass and kamuro. Shogun is unique in its colours and Japanese style shell settings.
